I’m just a few weeks away from taking off again….this time to St. Thomas to visit my grandparents. I’ll be leaving after a week there to pick up another boat and sail her back to the states. The Virginia trip was a straight shot across open ocean. Communication was impossible. Cell phones and the internet were a distant memory. This time around though, we’ll be island hopping, and I’ll hopefully have a much greater ability to stay in touch. Expect more updates, more pics and more videos. You’ll even be able to track my progress via Spot satellite messenger, so tune in and follow along.
On a completely unrelated note, people from fifty six different countries outside of the U.S. stopped in to check on me in 2012. Today alone, I’ve gotten hits from viewers in eight more, four of which are the first in their respective countries. As such, it seems prudent to accommodate everyone. The Adventures of [sic]… now is available in 53 different languages, simply by clicking the “translation” button in the top right menu and then selecting your language. Many thanks to timethief @ http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/ for posting the ins and outs involved in getting that working. So sorry I hadn’t gotten that done before. Stay tuned!

Living the life is a dream for most , those who start it late like me (I was in my 40′s when I started sailing ) I am now with my family aboard a sailing catamaran in Cyprus.attempting to catch up and reap the rewards of a still healthy body…
As for tall-ships , I was lucky enuff to crew on Picton Castle last year – they are my major passion…
Fair winds fellow enjoyer of the seas…

Cyprus, very nice! Any plans for cruising? I got started at 27 aboard Alliance and Serenity, two Colvin schooners. I still work on those boats, and just got back from delivering Virginia to Puerto Rico. See you out in the big blue!
